Author ownership and permission to publish

Authors retain copyright in their original work. Before publication, the author or authorized rights holder must accept a publication agreement granting The Bridge Review a nonexclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, and preserve the accepted article in digital and print formats and identify the journal as its original journal publisher. Submission alone does not grant permission to publish. Authors must confirm that all rights holders approve the agreement.

Article license

Unless a specific notice states otherwise, published articles are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International, CC BY 4.0: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.

The license permits sharing and adaptation, including commercial reuse, subject to its terms. Reusers must give appropriate credit, link to the license, and identify changes, without implying endorsement. Compliant reuse does not require an additional fee or permission from the journal. The license remains effective for compliant users; later policy changes or removal from our site do not revoke permissions already granted. The full legal code governs.

Material with different rights

Authors must identify third party figures, images, datasets, quotations, and other material with separate rights and obtain permissions where necessary. Credit lines must identify exclusions from the article license. Privacy, publicity, moral rights, and other rights may still apply. Journal logos, branding, website design, and external content are not automatically licensed under an article's CC BY notice.

Sharing versions and addressing concerns

Authors may share and deposit preprints, accepted manuscripts, and the published version in repositories or on personal or institutional websites without an embargo under this policy, subject to third party rights. After publication, include the journal citation and article link and identify the version. Contact editor@bridgereview.org for permissions questions or alleged infringement, identifying the work, claimed rights, disputed material, and available evidence. We will assess concerns and may seek clarification or take appropriate editorial action.
